Belgian, German & Craft Beers at Oktoberfest Palm Springs Oct. 13

PALM SPRINGS, CA, – Oktoberfest Palm Springs is a unique European-style festival showcasing more than 40 food, beer and wine tasting booths on Oct. 13 from noon-6 p.m. Live entertainment on two stages will include polka jazz, modern and DJ music to fit everyone’s taste.

It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without Belgian and German Beers like Beck’s, St. Pauli’s Girl, Stella Artois, Leffe, Hoegaarden along with a wide array of “microbrews” or “craft beers” including Hangar 24, Stone Brewing Company, Firestone, New Belgium and Babe’s Bar-B-Que & Brewhouse will be pouring HJ Summer Weissbier and Das Schwein Dunkelweizen.

In the U.S, the American Brewers Association provides the definition for a “craft brewery” as “small, independent and traditional,” and gives a production size of less than 6,000,000 U.S. beer barrels a year. A craft brewery cannot be more than 24 percent owned by another alcoholic beverage company that is not itself a craft brewery.

Located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, the festival will be held at the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Tahquitz Canyon Way in the park adjacent to the 26-foot tall “Forever Marilyn” statue. Spectacular views, ease to all of the shops, restaurants and night clubs of downtown. Free parking!

Purchase tickets or book your room now for special hotel rates at the Riviera Palm Springs or the ACE Hotel and Swim Club at www.OktoberfestPalmSprings.com.

This inaugural event will benefit CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Les Dames d’Escoffier (Providing scholarships for female chefs) and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
