Your Free Ebook: A Practical Guide To Self-Hypnosis

By Art Kunkin, Mr. Life Extension

Self-Hypnosis is a safe, easily-learned tool for self-development. This tool can help anyone realize all their goals and have a very long, prosperous and healthy life. Therefore, I am pleased to offer the readers of this newspaper a free copy of Melvin Power’s “A Practical Guide To Self-Hypnosis” during the month of October 2012. This is a valuable ebook published by Project Gutenberg. This book can easily be read on a computer.

Self-Hypnotism is the technique of making suggestions to oneself during the natural state of relaxation that every person experiences many times during each day. For example, the first few moments of both waking up and going to sleep are hypnotic in nature. That half-drowsy state can be utilized by a knowledgeable person to rid oneself of habits such as cigarette smoking or over-eating. Frequent headaches and the feeling of being fatigued can be eliminated. Self-Hypnosis can also be used for pain control and even during dentistry.

The same method of focused relaxation can develop the concentration necessary for achieving your goals in any area of life: in school, at work and in personal relationships. Relaxation is the key to entering the state of suggestibility that is called Self-Hypnotism.

How and why does self-hypnotism work? Each one of us has a conscious mind that seems to have the ability to consider from seven to nine subjects at a time. Actually, the conscious mind focuses only on one subject at a time; the seeming multiplicity of items is apparent only because of the conscious brain’s ability to shift from one subject to another in fractions of a second.

Every human also has a subconscious mind consisting of brain and nerve circuitry made up of billions of cells constantly recording and giving instructions to and from tens of thousands of inputs and body needs. This nervous system also contains the long-term memory filled with the individual beliefs and behavioral habits accumulated during your lifetime.

The subconscious mind, sometimes called the unconscious, often contains negative psychological components that dominate over our conscious mind. The techniques of Self-Hypnotism reverses this relationship and simply allows our positive conscious thoughts to dominate the subconscious. It’s as simple and important and valuable as that! Self-Hypnotism can turn a person lacking self-confidence into a confident human being in a very short time.

In my opinion, one of the important reasons for learning Self-Hypnotism is to avoid being hypnotized by others without your knowledge. There are many advertisers and politicians and cultists of various kinds in our society who consciously use hypnotic techniques to secretly influence us to buy things and/or support them. Obviously, it is in our best interest not to be so influenced. Reading this free book will help you become more of a free person.
