SCE to Upgrade 1500 Streetlights

Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs, CA – Southern California Edison (SCE) recently began construction on a project to renew and replace nearly 1,500 street lights in the cities of Cathedral City and Desert  Hot Springs.
SCE’s Street & Outdoor Lighting Department began the project on Tuesday, Oct. 30 and expects the work to be completed by mid-December. The electrical work will be performed by four, one-man crews from a outside contractor, E & E Electric.
“This project should greatly improve streetlight reliability within Desert Hot Springs, which is an aesthetic and safety benefit to the community,” said DHS City Manager Rick Daniels.
