American Cancer Society Invites Residents to Relay For Life

DESERT HOT SPRINGS – Josie Rizzio, a local resident is participating in the local American Cancer Society “Relay For Life” event, and looking for support. “It seems we all know someone who has battled cancer. The “Relay For Life” program invites people to make a difference by joining the world’s largest fight for more birthdays. At “Relay For Life” events we celebrate those who have battled and beaten cancer, remember loved ones lost to this disease, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much,” Rizzio said

“I am hoping to raise $2,500 for my team and I’m currently $954 away from that amount. Any donation you make, large or small, will help me reach my fundraising goal and help us reach the greater goal of saving lives from cancer.”

Funds raised through “Relay For Life” events support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. The American Cancer Society has had a hand in nearly every major cancer research breakthrough of the last century. “Help me continue their progress toward finding cures. “
