Congratulations to Patty Mendoza, the 2013 Chili Cook Off Champion. Nearly 300 people attended the annual event hosted at Dillon Roadhouse and sponsored by Desert Valley Disposal (DVD) and the Desert Star Weekly newspaper. The event raised more than $10,000 and surpassed last year’s attendance record.
