RANCHO MIRAGE, CA.- The Desert Guild Chapter of Big Hearts For Little Hearts Of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital held its third in a series of three Lunch & Cooking Demonstrations on Wednesday, March 19th at The Club at Morningside in Rancho Mirage.
“We are very pleased with the response from our members and their guests for the third LUNCH & COOKING DEMONSTRATION our Guild has hosted this season,” stated Event Chair Bonnie Timarac. “The guests in attendance always seem pleased to learn fresh skills, obtain brand new recipes they are able to share with their families, while learning valuable insight about Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital,” Timarac continued.
Executive Chef of The Club at Morningside, Luke Patterson, joined the Club in 2010, bringing with him almost 25 years of experience. Since that time, he has reinvented Morningside’s culinary program by incorporating fresh regional cuisine and attention to detail into every dish. Chef Patterson demonstrated for guests in attendance how to prepare a Carrot & Ginger Soup finished with Crème Fraiche and Cilantro, a Main Entrée of Miso Glazed Alaskan Black Cod with Asian Noodle Stir Fry, Black Sesame Seeds, and Scallions, and a delectable dessert of Passion Fruit Panna Cotta with fresh seasonal berries.
Jen Cruikshank, Chief Patient Care Director at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, was the guest speaker.
