Two ribbon cutting were held for newly installed art in public places by the Desert Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce. The first is a monument of three upright stones placed in front of the Visitor Center donated by Ginger Hitzke of  Hitzke Development Corporation. The second is a bronze horse and rider placed in front of the Senior Center donated by AliBaba Farazan.
