“Lights of Love” Tree Lighting Ceremony Fundraiser Aims to Help Cancer Patients




YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. – Dec. 4, 2013 – 21st Century Oncology of California is pleased to announce the “Lights of Love” tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m., to raise funds and awareness for cancer patients and their families. All proceeds go to the nonprofit 21st Century C.A.R.E. Foundation, which will stay in the Yucca Valley community to benefit cancer patients in need.

“We want to reach out to the community to let people know we care about them and that we are here for them,” says Peter Greenberg, M.D., Board Certified Radiation Oncologist with 21st Century Oncology of California. “The event will be something for the whole family to enjoy and we hope to raise funds to help those in our community that need help while fighting cancer.”

The public is invited to the free event that will take place at the Yucca Valley cancer treatment center, 58-295 29 Palms Highway, Yucca Valley, Calif. Attendees are invited to make a $5 donation to receive a “Light of Love” on the tree, in memory or in honor of their loved one. All those being honored or memorialized will be listed in the local paper after the event.

Cookies and hot cocoa will be served and a festive choir will provide entertainment and holiday cheer. Donations can be made before the event at the cancer center.
