Sanchez Vies for Mayor’s Job

A better Desert Hot Springs is on the horizon.  A change in leadership can take us there. That’s why I am running for mayor.

I run with humility and the passion to serve the good citizens of Desert hot Springs in finding solutions to community challenges.

Currently, our greatest challenge is a projected 3 million dollar budget deficit.  It’s time to reign in high city salaries and spending. New taxes are not an option to grow our way out of the current budget financial crises.

As the fastest growing city in California, growth will bring new businesses and opportunities.  What kind of city do we want?

As mayor, my priorities will be public safety, job training, fiscal responsibility, and cleaning up our city—both physically and politically.  This will attract the right kinds of economic development and businesses, and that in turn will increase our property values and our quality of life.

My experience with the Boys & Girls Club, the Police Activities League, the Senior Center, the Health & Wellness Center, the Borrego Medical Center, AmeriCorps and the Youth Violence and Gang Task Force give me a unique perspective to lead the city to achieve these goals.

I initiated the twice-monthly “Clean Up Our City Campaign” activities that reduces trash in our neighborhoods and will make us more appealing for businesses, tourists and future residents.  I intend to expand this program.

Our city belongs to all of us.  Help me continue to lead the way to a new Desert Hot Springs.  It would be an honor to serve as your mayor.
