Gray single-handily published his first newspapers in 1969 while in high school. The independent publication of four issues convinced him to follow the path of art by studying sculpture, graphics and environmental design at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, California where he also served as editor of the college newspaper and president of the Art Students’ Union. Sculptures and constructions followed along with his writing, published in various media over the last 40 years. In the early 1990′s Gray joined the Internet, when it was black and white, no pictures. What followed were stints as Marketing Director for several Internet companies. Gray also worked with software training, as web page architect and performing copy writing – finally rising to President of Computer Careers, a vocational training academy and certified Microsoft and Novel Test Center. Investigative reporting comes naturally to Gray as he’s not shy about “getting involved.” A long-time community activist, Gray has deep roots in politics, the environment, and the arts. more Inked at Nine (…the beginnings)Facebook Fan Page | 1969 – The First Newspapers![]() Issue 3
